The Mulsanne W.O. Edition by Mulliner
The Mulliner division will be celebrating Bentley's 100th anniversary next year with the release of a Mulsanne special edition. It pays tribute to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley includes a part from one of his cars.
The special model can be ordered with a standard Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. The 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. bentley key shell thekeylab.co.uk of the car can be observed throughout the cabin and even the Mulliner illuminated cocktail cabinet that features a display window with a piece of the original crankshaft from the 8 Litre displayed inside.
W.O. is emblazoned in the form of a B-shaped photoetched air vent on the chrome appliqué that runs along the back of the vehicle. The front grille is designed on 1930s-inspired Onyx, and there's an optional chrome cladding around the lower spoilers on the left and right. The front grille is also unique, gaining a chrome shell instead of the standard body-color mesh like that of the regular Mulsanne and featuring the Flying B logo as well.
A keybox engraved with the Bentley wings can hold two keys and features black flock lining, while keys are individually sized to complement or contrast with the key box. The commemorative set also includes a bespoke 1:18 scale model of the 8 Litre and a flying 'B' paperweight, plus an unpublished brochure with images that have never before been seen of the original 1930s 8 Litre.
The Bentley Wing Key Box
A unique keybox decorated with Bentley wings and designed to hold two Bentley keys, this accessory is perfect for Bentley owners and enthusiasts. The item comes in a gift box containing tissue paper and makes an ideal gift for birthdays, Christmas or other special occasions.
The key fob's metal-tometal knurling mimics the texture of the interior, including the seat temperature controls and shift knob. Van Braekel says, "We wanted to make the knurling as uniform and elegant" as possible. "It was also important to maintain with a distinct size and shape."
Bentley Mulliner customers are able to choose any color from the Bentley portfolio, as well any combination of hides or veneers, and bespoke embroidery. Bentley's signature diamond in diamond quilting is applied to the entire cabin with nearly 400000 stitches. The lighting of the mood can be adjusted to suit different moods.
Outside illuminated treadplates and clocks in brushed silver are available as standard. New 22in wheels feature self-levelling Bentley logos. Customers can also have their own bespoke Bentley emblem laser-etched on the rear fixing, as a nod to the 1930 8 Litre W.O. The car was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre W.O. The Bentley Wing Key Pouches
Bentley's "Speed" series is very entertaining in that it takes the Continental GT's exaggerated extravagance and turns it up to eleven. But it's not just about the fanciful exterior or the extra food items -- there's also the improvements to the mechanical, like the reworked air suspension and stiffer steering that make the car feel less floppy than you would expect in a vehicle of this size.
